2016

2016 has already started off a lot better than 2015! Last year started off with a cancer diagnosis (which I may share details about later), so I guess that was not hard to beat.

My motto for 2016 is to live my life. As simple as that.

I want to do things that are outside of my comfort zone and really push myself to live life to the fullest. Yes, I know that sounds so cliche. However, I believe we become settled in not doing things that we fear, think we may not like or don't think we can afford. But, life is too short!! Now is the time for me to travel, move where I want, stay out until insane hours in the morning, etc...you get the point. Don't worry mom & dad, I am not going to go out and blow all my money...that is not the point I am trying to make.

Working in healthcare, specifically long-term care, every day I am constantly around death & disease. Unfortunately, sicker people are getting younger and younger. It can be very depressing. Having some health issues myself, it has made me realize that I don't want to have any regrets with my life. Personally, I am just hardwired to do the "right" thing, I'm aways overanalyzing everything. However, in 2016, although something may not be the most responsible decision to make, who cares. Everyone learns and develops as a person when they try new things and most importantly it creates irreplaceable memories.
Here's to a New Year & a new outlook on life!!
